Terrell State Hospital is an in-patient psychiatric hospital located in Terrell, Texas which is about 30 miles east of Dallas.  The average number of patients being served is 300+ and they come to us from 22 Texas counties.

The hospital is owned and operated by the State of Texas and is certified by Medicare and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO).  The hospital employs over 800 staff.

We approach our nursing care with a focus on the highest level of nursing standards tempered with compassion and palliative based treatment planning to rejoin and reunite our patients to family, friends, and community.
