Disaster Drill

Terrell State Hospital, the Terrell Fire Department, Terrell Police Department, and Air Evac Lifeteam partnered on Friday, June 12th to implement a disaster drill.

The drill was re-enactment of a fire where victims were trapped and rescued from a building.  The "victims" were some of the Terrell State Hospital staff and the students from the 2009 Healthcare Camp.  The Nursing staff triaged and tended to our victims.  There were three victims who were evacuated from the hospital via helicopter.

The disaster drill provided the hospital, City Services, and Air Evac Lifeteam an opportunity to prepare in the case of an actual emergency or disaster.
